The Philippine Association of Realty Appraisers, Inc. is a national, non-stock and non-profit appraisal organization.
It is a member of the Realty Service Council of the Philippines (RESCOP), an umbrella organization of real estate organizations and a quasi-government entity affiliated with the Bureau of Trade Regulation and Consumer Protection (BTRCP) of the Department of Trade and Industry(DTI).
PARA was incorporated on February 8, 1989, organized by highly competent and well-trained practitioners, for the purpose of upgrading appraisal skills, standardizing appraisal practice and terminology and instilling professionalism and ethics among practitioners.
For more than a decade now, PARA has been faithful to its mandate of providing continuing education, conducting publications and technical FORA to facilitate the exchange of data from the different sectors involved in valuation, including those in the government.
To date, PARA has more than 100 members with affiliates nationwide. It is a principal member of FIABCI Philippines International, Inc., the Philippine National Chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (Federation Internationale des Adminitrateurs de Bien – Conselis Immobilers)
